I've been doing some research on Singapore. Did you know that our population density is 6066 people per square kilometre? That seems like a LOT of people!  Posted by Picasa

I think we need to cull some of the human species :)

In land-scarce Singapore, the majority average income Singaporeans live in subsidised highrise buildings called HDB, designed in a way that they are no more than mere pigeon holes in a concrete jungle.
And in most HDB notice boards, there are "Do not feed stray cats" signs.
Cat lovers goes against the ruling and continue feeding stray cats in this concrete jungle.

Rules Were Made to Be Broken.

Except that feeding cats really isn't illegal. If they wanted to put up signs, why not say "Do not abandon?"

They should put up a sign "It is a crime to abandon your pets! Fine $1,000". Looking at previous campaigns, Singaporeans will only open their eyes and obey if theres a word "Fine" in them.

Yes they should. If you go to a lift lobby, you see signs that say 'no littering', 'no feeding', but no signs that say "Abandonment - Fine and/or JAIL".

yes, it is indeed getting more & more over-crowded with humans. These days if we walk around our HDB neighbourhood, I do wonder sometimes if here has become a mini China. :-(

We need to maintain balance with community cats providing a good complement in the parks around.Imagine, nice parks ..but totally devoid of cats...coz people kill.... no birds..coz people shoot shoot shoot....
Yuck...we have only our own kind left!

Yes - nature is part of a balance. We're killing off our rainforests, making global warming worse and taking things out of their natural place. Animals and plants are there for a reason - and it may come too late for us to discover what that reason was.
