I saw this ad on Page 27 of the Sunday Times and I'm going to cut it out to keep.

I wonder how effectively the sterilisation message will be communicated to AVA's target audience (if they had such a group of people in mind). Is this ad also shown in other languages? Based on anecdotal evidence, most of the people who do not sterilise their cats do not read much English, especially a message that takes a certain degree of literacy to understand.

You're right YSkat - it is a rather pun-y message which not everyone may get.

I think it is very important to reach out the people who own cats as these are also the people, out of ignorance and financial constraints, do not sterilize their home cats, and hence adding to the community cat population by abandonment.
To people who have most of the community cats sterilized, their greatest fear is abandonment by these owners.
AVA must take a direct approach to this group of cat owners.

That's true - making sterilisation more easily accessible financially to people with less money would be helpful too.

I understand that the AVA online information brochure on their roadshow ( also include some sterilisation discount tie-up with some vet clinics from now till sometime next year. I wonder this has been publicised effectively to all pet owners because I didn't really read about this in the papers.
