The caregiver in this area uses mothballs along the corridor to stop cats defecating. Unfortunately, the same family whose cats fall from their flat, let their other cats out at night and the caregiver suspects these cats defecate along the corridor. She has spoken to them about it, but they are not receptive. She has used mothballs, which work, but the cats just do it at another spot.

The mothballs along the corridor - isn't that considered littering? The poor cleaner will have to clean up extra litter.

Mothballs evaporate and she leaves them by the side of the corridors where the cats defecate. However she thinks she might use less so the cats aren't so obvious.

I have great news! THe Bukit Timah Cat owner has constructed a huge cage all around her porch! My dad saw it and told me just now. Its a good start!

Hopefully then she can get rid of her small cages, then there will be no need for the cardboard stacks which are fire hazards. Her cats will be more free and happier!! =)

Thanks Kayley. She mentioned she would be doing that.
