I used to work with the Cat Welfare Society for 6 years and really enjoyed my time working with them. I am now taking a break but will continue to blog about cats and other related information! Any views here do not represent the views of CWS.

Super-writer! =D Did you also include your blog addy? Highly recommended for its educational quality!Thinking aloud for a bit: was just wondering, how's the profile of the kids like? i'm specifically thinking about what kind of housing they're in... among HDB's repetoire of untenable excuses for keeping their idiotic cat ban is that most residents don't like cats and policies must be made with consideration of the preferences of the majority in mind... so would a favourable profile of these youths help support the argument that anecdotal evidence on the ground does not support the HDB stance that most residents don't want cats around flats/estates?(OT: come to think of it, majority want upgrading and better facilities, but don't want/ can't afford co-payment right? So why upgrading don't cater for that??? Looks like inconsistent application of rules and guidelines to me)
Actually I didn't - if they write back maybe i should :)The HDB authorities seemed to suggest to us that they thought it was the older residents who didn't like the cats. I'm not sure that's true either.
MUUUUST remember to! Let them appreciate the reality. Truly, your blog is really a very good launching point for 'knowing the ground' as it were. So until you get that compilation "Notes from the field" out, no one concerned with cats should skip this blog, and that's the truth =DEh isn't the post 65'ers forming a larger chunk of the population, esp the voting population now? So where's the majority caveat with the older folk excuse? And if they're catering to older folk, where's the consideration for ALL HDB residents? Either way, HDB's excuses don't cut it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Calsifer - I'm blushing :)As for the HDB policies, I have to agree they don't seem to make sense.
