Cage outside the flat

Cage outside the flat
Originally uploaded by dawnkua.

After speaking with this resident several times, and having her insist the cats are never let out, I saw this cage outside her flat now. Of course, the door was open - a cat was seen around the corner from the flat. However, the woman claims that the cats never go out and that sometimes community cats come up - which of course happens because she leaves food outside.

Why do some people just refuse to listen? If they want to feed the cats, just walk down and feed them. If they want to keep them in, don't let them out. Instead, she KNOWS that there have been complaints in this area as I have been by twice to tell her already - and yet she persists.

i think it's not healthy to keep her adult cat caged up at the corridor or even in the house. Why can't they love the cat as part of their family and let the cat have access to the whole house.

I have no idea - and the cat was sleeping in the corridor with the door closed.

Perhaps it is a denial that cats can be killed because of her stubborn-ness. If only we can show a video clip of how the cats suffered in the trapping, suffered in the holding area and suffered as their lives are snuffed out..maybe they will finally listen. It stumps me that people like this woman who outwardly seems to love cats but choose to be totally ignorant of the consequences of their action.

I agree - I would really like to get hold of a video like that, but I don't think anyone will let us film it. Also, it would be good to show to complainants who 'don't know' what happens to the cats.

What about an animated video? Some cat lovers with animation skill can do it.

Anyone volunteering? :) I think a live action would be the most effective though.

The cat is so pitiful. Being caged up (lost freedom) and sleeping in the corridor (so sad)

This woman is very stubborn. Sooner or later she will get her cat into trouble and she can say bye bye to her cat. She is the root and the cause of the problem.
