Reward for Sims Drive case

CWS is putting up $1000 and SPCA is putting up another $1000 and the money is going into a reward fund to try and and solicit any information about the Sims Drive cat abuser. The reward is for information leading to arrest and conviction and the person must be willing to testify and work with the police.

We have had a reward fund since 2000 which is open to caregivers who need it (and which sadly is offered quite a lot) but this is the first time both societies are offering a joint reward. SPCA is kindly allowing their number to be used as the hotline should anyone have anything to report as they have someone manning their phone lines 24 hours a day.

Some caregivers including Lynn have kindly offered to distribute the flyers throughout the estate.

Very good. I support your idea. I hope the witness will stand out and speak for the dismembered kitten. Justice must be done and the abuser must be arrested.

We cannot allow the abuser to dismember any more kittens. This is the first and also the last time. We must not let the abuser harm any more cats.

I heard from a friend who lives there (he is not a cat person) that there are a lot of cats there and most if not all are unsterilized.
Can a project or fund be set up to get the cats there sterilized? This will be something good arising from this tragedy.

Vegancat's idea is a good one. We'll definitely do our usual subsidy and get subsidised rates for the cats in the area. The main problem is if there is anyone in the area.

Hopefully with the flyers, some volunteers can be identified. My friend also noticed the students from the school nearby were often indulged in hooliganism on the top level of the carpark. He could see them from his high floor flat. Perhaps flyers or an email to the principal of the school might scare the abuser if he is from there.
