Feline Acupuncture

Veganmeowies wanted me to share with you that her cat did very well with acupuncture. Here's a link she sent :-

Feline Acupuncture.

I have to say my own cat sat very quietly when he had the needles inserted in him - and he usually isn't the type to sit quietly.

Hi Dawn, is feline acupuncture available in Singapore? If so, where can I go?

I believe Animal Recovery Veterinary Centre at Balestier does it. Other vets may as well though.

I went to Dr Oh, who treats animals at Mr. Pleasant Animal Hospital. Dr. Oh also works at the Zoo.

I've seen on documentaries Dr Oh treating an elephant with acupuncture and TCM. Seems to work really well.

Thanks for the information - I think more vets are trying out alternative medicine too, just as doctors are.

I would like to give you all a warning with veterinary acupuncture. Like human acupuncture please please make sure that your practitioner is certified in acupuncture. So many "medical practitioners" only have a couple hundred hours of training while a certified licensed acupuncturist has thousands. When in doubt check out: http://www.aava.org/ - the association of acupuncture vets. Thanks!!

Thanks Amy - I note this is an American site though and on going to the site you pointed us to,there's an international site at http://www.ivas.org.
