Sign outside complainant's house

Sign outside complainant's house
Originally uploaded by dawnkua.

This guy is the one who complained about the cat - and this is the sign I snapped outside his house the other day because I thought it was a rather unusual notice (it's signed "Petrified resident" for one).I should add it was a narrow, quiet corridor which is not accessible by the lift. There are three units in a corner.

He just wrote again to say that he wants to know if the right cat was removed. He said that he thought he saw the cat last night but was standing too far away and did not want to go and check. Also, he wants to know what will happen if the cat is returned to the area. He said he wants to be 100% sure that he can walk safely in the area with his dog.

I told him that HE is the only one who can tell us if it is the same cat. I said for example if he had been robbed, he cannot ask the police to take everyone away because they sort of look like the person he suspects. I said we had gone one step further and the cat HAD been removed.

I also told him if for example, his dog had been accused of biting someone, would he just submit and let his dog be taken because someone thought all dogs of his breed look alike?

I spoke with the TC officer as well. One of the officers had in fact arranged for pest control to round up the cats. Luckily, the other officer intervened and let the volunteers and ourselves take over the matter first.

I fully agree with anonymous. This STUPID IDIOT is damn bloody irritating. He nearly costs the other cats to be rounded up by the pest control. And what is the big deal about the cat scatching his dog, can't he used his brain to steer clear of the cats if he is afraid of them.

If he needs to feel 'secure', I am willing to patrol the place with my pet rat. My rat gets along well with cats, dogs and all other living beings.

Those who are petty, confused and always blaming and complaining do not know how to be happy. They make people around them miserable.

They are selfish and possess a little mind, stuck in a big body.
Maybe the virus can teach them to see the bigger picture of life.

Dawn, good quesions posed to him. Tell him his dog is not allowed in the HDB flat; if he insists on getting TC involve, i think we should get AVA involve too. If he can't feel for another lives, why should we feel for him. i m sure this dog is adoptable.

I had misinterpreted his intention to find out the "right" cat out of a sense of guilt. He is in fact still seeking his revenge!

The guy and his dog intruded the private space of the community cat. He allowed his dog to be too near the cat. He must attend some courses on how to walk your dog.

Once my dog was scratched by a cat and I didn't go crying all over the place demanding death to all cats.

i think this person is not really feeling guilty about the possibility of the wrong cat being taken away.

if we take a step back and look at the series of behaviors he is exhibiting, he seemed more concerned about the truth (if the cat he disliked was the right one that was removed).

end of the day, he is just an attention seeker. the more we validate this behavior, the more he will continue to call and argue if it was the right cat.

noone owes him anything but he sure does owe the cat that was taken away an explanation!

My friend called me at around 8am this morning to say that she saw a dead cat near her workplace. Specifically, it was near Lavender (MRT, I suppose) amongst the HDB blocks.

I asked if there were any signs indicating abuse, & in her own words, "Yar. The eyes were gouged out. Then it was bleeding from (its) eyes (&) nose. The whole face was bloody. Then it was placed nicely among the bushes so not kena hit by car kind."

She called SPCA but "they can't do anything cos I saw a cleaner removing the body liao. And they say this is the first time they receive report for Lavender."

what a LOSER! the TC is wasting so much time and resources just to pander to this wuss's silly needs?? Watthehell?? He needs psyhiatric help that what he needs! They should just ignore this clown.

Sigh, yet ANOTHER abuse case reported.. Our little frens already have to deal with so much hardship, and idiotic people AND potential abusers. My prayers for all those poor strays.. and to you wonderful caregivers, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I wrote back to tell him we considered the case closed unless he could be sure the wrong cat had been removed. I suggested perhaps he can just carry his dog if he walks near a cat and he said okay.

Now he would like the caregivers details so that in case he said he finds kittens in drains, he can contact them.

i won't be surprise he wants the caregivers details to 'harrass' them on this subject. Negative thought but i think realistic.

I think there'r many constructive comments posted here for his understanding. Will someone paste this webpage on his signboard? He seems literate enough to surf the web.
And if he wants to walk in peace, why not carry a small water spray-gun or spritz? Why deprive the resident of his home, he should learn to co-exist with him, not sending him to exile.
