Update on cat that was kicked on video

Deirdre just called up with some news. She has been keeping us informed of the status of this case and it seems the police based on some evidence I mentioned earlier, have managed to identify the perpetrators. Investigations are ongoing.

That is so good to hear!! I was worried that this case along with the Jurong East murders will be forgotten with the culprits lying low. Credits to all still keeping a tab on them.

Don't worry - we still remember :) SPCA were the ones who liased with the police and so Deirdre has been kind enough to update us. And of course we're waiting to hear about the Pasir Ris cats too.

Kudos to SPCA and the Police! Justice is served!

Just received news too from a friend about Adrian. The guy caught by police as mentioned in the papers for Xbox fraud. This person is also the same guy who had a petshop in Katong and who cheated feeders of money during SARS (as feeders have to temporary board the cats with him as authorities were culling island wide). He took money from caregivers but did not took good care of the cats - some died.

Do threats count as abuse? This stupid man in Toa Payoh said to me today he wants to kill the cats there when I tried to chat with him to find out who the feeder is. He said food ppl cannot finish just throw at them cats. He asked me to take them all away. It's no use telling this man abt TNRM. He has no idea at all but I don't like the threats.

Anonymous, what you can possibly tell him is that you will remember that he told you this and that if ANYTHING happens to the cats, you will tell the police and he'll be the prime suspect.

E_cat, I think you probably mean allegedly cheated since otherwise that might be defamatory :)

a fellow caregiver & member of our now defunct animal group, was cheated. we were directly helping his cats then and we are aware of whatever was going on. we tried to go after Adrian but he had closed his Katong pet shop already and disappeared. and so it aint defamatory....

great news, dawn and kudos to SPCA and CWS. please keep us updated of the case. anyone knows what happened to the poor cat?

Anonymous - sadly no.

E_Cat, I have heard this from some people too and it's not that I doubt what they say. However, just as with abuse, you need proof - even if something is true, if you can't prove it, then the allegation can held to be defamatory, irregardless of whether it is indeed true.
