The Cat Whisperer

We've just heard that the Cat Whisperer, the shop that sold only toys for cats, is unfortunately closing down. We've been asked to collect our merchandise due to their imminent closure and Marcus has just done that.

Tanjong Katong.

They have cats running around in the shopes. Very cute!

Some of them sits on the shelves and surprises you.

Such a pity, it is closing down. :(

Jodie, pee wee litter is now sold more widely so no worries about stock. I think Pet Lovers stock this brand as well.

A business plan just based on selling cat toys is not a long term viable project unless the owner is willing to live with low absolute takings.

Although the gross margin for cat toys may be high, the fact that cats play with the most unlikely things that do not cost a single cent, eg rolled up used envelop, crinkly plastic magazine wrappings, chasing bugs, mean that recurring sales are likely to be low.

Sorry, it's just the business me rambling on...still thinking about work :(

No idea they are around. Will to buy some stuffs from them. More shops should have cats all over the shop.

Oh dear.

I used to drive by after picking up stuff from my pet food supplier. And I used to think, one day I will go in and check out this place.

If anyone knows their last day, please post it up here? I'll try and make my way down asap. There probably will be a closing down sale of sorts.

Cat Whisperer has been a good shop that brings in alot of stuff from the US (e.g. nail caps for cats, pill pockets - where you put tablet in a salmon flavored skin). It would be a pity this shop is going since there would not be another shop that sells only cat stuff.

Jodie, I think Pet Lover Center started selling Pee Wee too. Some shops at Holland V has it also.

does anyone know about a hand-held vacuum device called 'pet-vac'? it is a vaccum cleaner for cat-danders about the size of lady's epilator (braun). I've read it in a USA cat-care but for years, i still can't find it in pet shops here or any overseas online stores.

I only saw the larger Pet-Vac when I did a google search. Nothing as small as you mentioned.
