Window Display

Thanks to Littlestraycat for sending this in :-

Macy's window

It seems that this is the 20th year that they have done this in conjunction with the San Francisco SPCA - all the cats in the windows are up for adoption. What a lovely idea!

Reminds me of the song "How much is that doggie in the window".
Bow wow!

Singapore hasn't reached that stage yet. Unless shopping malls can benefit from the programme cats found in the vicinity will be destroyed. Welfare groups need to find corporate leaders with a heart for homeless animals.

I am concerned if this will lead to adoption on impulse.

Anonymous, I agree with you. While the display idea is cute, it showcases the cats as "gifts" and as "merchandise". I feel that this might bring forth the wrong message.

Hi Marilyn and Anonymous, the adoption is run by the SF SPCA and I think they are one of the most well thought of humane societies. I do believe they are very stringent with their adoption criteria!
