Where are the cats?

I just called the TC to find out where the cats are now. The officer was out when I called before 2 and is now at a meeting so I have no idea where the cats are and she was not around to speak with before her 2 pm deadline. I have left a message and sent her emails to ask her to cease and desist from sending the cats anywhere and to please let me know where the cats are.

Why is the TC so keen to get rid of the cats within few hours? Volunteers have their day jobs and need to corordinate the rehoming, another way of killing is to give an unrealistic deadline. Thought Tampines TC is not supposed to kill as mentioned in the press...are the cats carrying life threathening disease or TC officers fear of complainant therefore cats must die.

Maybe should remove the TC officers instead. They are killing, not listening and too fearful to solve a life and death problem the humane way.

Oh my gosh, I hope you can find the cats back and it is not too late at all...

Yes, of everything "garmen", why suddenly the TC so super efficient in this kind of thing? This is real damn odd and very very "garmen" lor, on on the wrong wrong ball...!

Please keep us update on the status of the cats.

Seems the TC is working on their own time-table and convenience.
Avenue of communication must be kept open before action are executed to sent the cats to AVA.
Also TC should exercise discrection in each case. Here there is someone willing to adopt the cats, so give a chance and time for the feeder and the cats to be reunited.

To be fair it may have been a case of miscommunication and the TC may have gotten the impression that the feeder does not want the cats. However I have not been able to get hold of the officer so we'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Volunteers should inspect the condition of the cats, check whether cages been clean and whether they been given food and water. In future TC should give live status update in case pest control mishandled, misplaced, mistreated the cats.
One way of preventing miscommunication...

They forget that they are employed to SERVE ALL residents and not just to get a salary at the end of the month. They forget that they serve ALL residents, including residents who disagree on killing as a solution to every cat "problem".

Considering that all residents views should be heard as you said Anonymous, we hope that TCs realise that there are residents who not only do not want the cats killed but are willing to work WITH the TC to achieve this aim.

Since they can't remove complainant and their complaints, they remove cats. Cats can't protst, they are removable ' items'. So they can easily close the file and do other stuffs.

How cats are killed should be made open for all to see. Not hide behind some out of bounds area. Those who order the cats be killed should not hide their faces either.

TC, please don't take advantage of the helpless cats to 'showcase your efficiency'.
Give reasonable deadline.

Why such haste? While other probably more important "town council" duties await these bunch of "garmen" people?

Clearing/removing cats seems to be the lesser priority of a TC's job scope? Don't tell me when it comes to their annual job review, this TC officer will write in his review report, "I clear how many how many cats this year...", what, they got a quota to fill??

Even like what Dawn said, if it is just a miscommunication, maybe in light of this episode, and I understand that the officer is still not contactable...

Maybe should talk to the TC to have them, even if they have hold on to the cats, maybe they should hold them on a little LONGER, like one or 2 more days, for the feeders, volunteers etc to sort it out, before they are shipped to AVA, 'cause we all know, once on the road to the AVA, it's a one way ticket....
