Dumping season

I was just speaking to some caregivers who were saying it's dumping season yet again. They think it might be due to the Chinese New Year holidays now. Another caregiver told me that she suddenly had an influx of cats in her area and she's wondering if they might have been dumped by pest control. She said they are so fearful they have run into the drains to hide and are fighting with the other cats there.

Must be due to spring cleaning before Chinese New Year.
Poor dumped kitties, must be still shocked from the abandonment and now got to live as strays.
the cruelties of dumpings.
Hope the caregivers can help them out.

Problem is that they're now hiding in the drain and fighting with the caregivers' existing cats too. She's wondered that the added noise (and cats) will lead to more complaints.

Dumping season is all year round. People think if they could just hand over all their cats to SPCA and their cats would automatically be adopted. Public ignorant of the more than 90% destruction rate at SPCA. SPCA could get them to collect the dead cats or send to their homes.
