Would CWS newsletter in Chinese and Malay reach out to more people? Is the cost phenomenal? It still seems like animal welfarism is largely an English-ed thing but are we missing out the non English-ed who might an more voices to the dumb animals if they are informed of what has and can be done to improve the welfare of the community cats?

I'm not sure we can do a version for every single issue but we do intend to do features in different languages on occasion. We've done one in Mandarin and our editor JaQ is doing an upcoming article in Malay in the new issue coming out this month.

Just received an email of yours forwarded by a mate, imagine my surprise.

All he said to us was, 'See anyone of our [society] pple are keen to take part in this program.'

Think I've gotta badger him a bit on MSN.

TNRM, I believe, you were mentioning about the possibility of giving a talk & distributing brochures to our Alumni members. He was referred from KPMS.

Trouble's that they don't meet all that regularly, so I wonder how much advance notice would be good for you?

Wonderful please do :) If you can make it, we'll definitely try our best to! :)

Ok, he's totally noncommittal & rather that interested members contact you directly.

Frankly, I think it's better if you contacted NTUBS rather than the alumni. I don't have the contacts of the current committee members, but maybe KPMS can help you out with that.

NTU hostels desperately need a TNRM system of sorts, plus there was a cat abuse case which I believe was never solved.

mervin - they do have a system in place. Let me know if you have friends who want to be involved.

Well... the only system I ever saw them practice was 'call the exterminators when the complaints get too much'.

But I must admit that was 4~5 years back.

Most of my mates, especially the cat lovers, have graduated already. But should any opportunity arise, I wouldn't hesitate to direct them in your direction. =^.^=
