Fostering kittens

Rebecca is back as of this morning and is already been called by people asking for fosters. I spoke with a woman a while ago and offered her a cat trap, but she did not want to use it. Apparently the mother cat gave birth again and was found dead a few days ago and she says she cannot bottle feed the kittens.

I told her that if we are able to find a foster, she needs to undertake to do the usual, pay for food, medicine, sterilisation, vaccination, litter, and if the kittens cannot be adopted out, she needs to take them back. Unfortunately the woman doesn't seem to have a very good memory. She called Wiggie, Rebecca and I and can't seem to remember whom she spoke to (though we all spoke with her in the space of two days) so all of us ended up having the same conversation with her. She also did ask some rather odd questions, including whether the foster will abuse the kittens.

Now let's hope she remembers the kittens when they're fostered out!

sometimes they act blur so you do the rest of the work. Years ago one PHD lady shifted house and agreed to pay for the upkeep of the cat and after we trap and took the cat back, never heard from her and even said nasty things about the foster mum. We look after the cat for 7 years and did not receive a single cent. Some just dump kittens inside our gates!

Anyway, you guys are doing great work.

huh - sorry to hear about. It's not uncommon at all sadly. That happened in one of the cases as well.

Anonymous - we're approaching a foster to see if she can help as she indicated she might be able to.
