Cat to be returned to caregiver

Just got the letter from the TC. I am grateful that the cat will be released and can go home. However they again mentioned the cat will be released to CWS though in the email the officer mentioned the caregiver can pick it up. I have just written to the TC to clarify that the cat is not being released to CWS but to the caregiver - who are happy the cat can be released to them.

The important thing is the cat is returned to good hand. Why would TC want to make the release a bureaucratic protocol?

The cat unfortunately is down with bad cat flu. We're now looking for a foster - but our one and only foster is still fostering another cat and can't take in this one too.

Common for cats to develop cat flu once they are in AVA facility.

Prior to that, the pest control also caused stress by throwing them into small cages. A stray we been feeding for years lost her life due to cat flu after we secured her release.

We hate to see the huge carpark without her. She was doing fine until they took her to AVA.

TC should be informed of the trauma and know it will incur vet fees due to their trapping and culling activity. They should be considerate and not create problems for everyone.

Anonymous - yes unfortunately cat flu is common in the AVA. The cats are already stressed when they are caught and then they are placed with other cats.
