Good news and bad

Some good news and bad.

First the bad, the woman whose cats E_cat, Aliyah and CWS helped to get sterilised, has now mentioned to E_cat again that she thinks she may want to give the cats away again. E_Cat has told her to wait till I get back to discuss this with her - it's rather distressing though. She says she cannot cope. Obviously it would be better that the cats are at least sterilised but it's sad that she seems to want to give them away again - and whether they'll be going to a good home is another worry.

The good news though is that Rebecca mentioned that the officer in the army camp we went down to has agreed to sterilise another community cat there at his own cost! Glad to hear it.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. I am also deleting the post as there are some identifying details in it and I'm sure your friend also would not like people to know where she is a caregiver at.

However there isn't much that CAN be done. What your friend did was correct, that is to try and return the cat. Was there anything in writing that the woman would take the cat back?

Basically, the only thing your friend can do is not to take more cats from this woman in the future. It's impossible to change the other person's behaviour - but you can change yours.

Also what your friend decides to do about the cat is her decision. She should not feel bound to do whatever the other woman wants her to do.

Do drop me an email if there is anything else you'd like to ask.

my friend has decided to send this kitten to a cattery or farm.

she wants the kitten to have a shelter and proper food.

however, she is worried that the cat feeder will come back and question her about the whereabouts of this kitten.

she refused to talk to the cat feeder any more because the cat feeder is very selfish and irresponsible.

thks for advice.

Since the woman your friend is helping didn't do anything or offer to help according to what you've told me, I don't think your friend owes her any explanations.
