It's been repeated ad nauseam, in many letters that's been sent in and published. But we don't see that much changes. Even the David Hooi case hadn't sparked the changes hoped for, despite his two arrests. Now I hear he's out and the caregivers in his area are again worried about the cats there.

Yes, it's so tiresome.... people are jailed for much longer for offenses much less trivial and do not even involve the life of an innocent creature.

Like graffiti. What's the punishment for that? "Defacing" a wall without the explicit permission of relevant authorities, is punishable with a rather long jail sentence and even caning, right?

But walls can be cleaned. Lives taken or maimed cannot be restored.

I think possibly one thing is that there are still limited sentencing options too. We have talked about counselling and other options too in the past on this blog, and I think they need to re-look that.

I was told by the caregiver who lives in the vicinity of David Hooi that he has gone back to his old ways of bring kittens back to his flat..
The caregivers there are on alert again to get hard evidence to put him behind bars again but how many cats and kittens need to be abused before hard evidence comes about?

I am going to look for him and make sure he receives his third jail sentence. He must be locked up in an institution.
