Sterilised cats caught

Some sterilised cats were caught yesterday from this town council again. There was a complaint from the area last week. The complainant was very specific - he said it was a cat from a flat, not a community cat and gave the colour of the cat. He also said he suspected certain units. The caregiver told the officer that she would go down that day and look into it and advise the owner which she did. The owner did indeed have a cat that went out and said they would get a litter tray and would keep the cat in. I told the caregiver for clarity's sake in the future to make sure she calls afterwards again to confirm one more time.

However subsequently, pest control was deployed without informing the caregiver which they ought to have done. In addition, I spoke with the complainant and he said that the problem had been better almost immediately after he had sent in the email. He said that he had not had problems this week though this had been going on for a year prior to that. Yet the pest control was only deployed yesterday - after the problem had been solved for this complainant.

Furthermore, the complainant had clearly stated that he saw one cat, a cat that he said he never saw in the void deck and gave the colour of the cat - a cat with brown spots. However there were two cats caught - one was ginger and white and one was brown and grey. Even if they weren't sure of the colour, surely they should realise that one cat does not equal two?

The is as clear as any daylight real life example of the "efficiency" of some TC officers. This must be used to educate ALL TC officers that they must cary out their duties with responsibility and be accountable and not just blindly follow what has always been pick the call and give business to the pest controllers.
How many cats had been wrongly killed and how many more innocent cats need to sacrificed before these TC officers "wake up their bloody idea" and have their salaries deducted for wasting residents' $$$!!

It is a waste of the caregiver's time to keep going down to AVA to undo TC's mistake.

i don't understand why this is happening. is it a matter of miscommunication? did the TC not know that the matter had been resolved? what is the point of TC contacting caregiver and caregiver talking to complainant and cat owner if the TC is going to deploy pest control anyway? it is really a waste of money as well as everybody's time and effort. not to mention that 2 innocent cats were traumatised and their lives endangered.

You know what? I honestly have no idea. It's a waste of everyone's time, effort and money - not just the caregivers, not just the TCs but also the residents.
