I used to work with the Cat Welfare Society for 6 years and really enjoyed my time working with them. I am now taking a break but will continue to blog about cats and other related information! Any views here do not represent the views of CWS.

Here's the cat playing today.

Strings are generally unsafe, seen dogs and cats tangled to death as they do not know how to uncoil the knots.
That's not the only thing this cat has to worry about, though I have to say the man is almost always with the cat.
Thanks for the short clip,Dawn. He has grown and looks healthy and playful. The chains around him and plastic strings are of concerns.Any name for him by the man?
I don't know actually - to be honest, the man wasn't very forthcoming about his own name and I don't know it :)
tell e man wouldn't it be better to let his cat run freely on e grass/field.i am sure he will be happy to see his cat happily running around. And e cat needs e exercise as well. And ask him to try having a rope tied around his own neck just like his cat,and ask him how it feels to have no freedom. Then maybe he will sterilise his cat and never tie it up again.
I don't think he sees a problem - he feels that the chain is long enough for the cat to play.
Man just want the cat to be with him, so the cat's welfare is not important and sterilisation is even further from his mind.
this is a co-dependant relationship, so i think what we know about risks and hazards should not be considered. the most valuable thing here - love - is evident from the man and the cat is a lucky, healthy and happy cat! there's a risk in every situation, but the benefits here greatly outweigh the risks. let's be thankful for this instead.
